The Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a Healthcare Management Concentration is designed to address the needs of the healthcare professional that has been placed in a management role. Traditionally, healthcare professionals have tremendous depth of education in their specialties. Now, however, there is an increasing demand for specialists with general management skills as well. Today’s healthcare managers must be aware of the dramatic changes in the areas of human resources, financial reimbursement, marketing, and legal and regulatory constraints. This program affords an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals to examine the challenges in today’s healthcare industry and to work together to provide solutions to those challenges.
Admission Requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Healthcare
* Proof of high school graduation or G.E.D.
* A minimum of 54 transferable semester credits from a regionally accredited college or university or from CLEP, ACE or other standardized evaluation.
* Official transcripts from any college or university attended. For college credits to transfer, they must:
- They are from a post-secondary degree granting institution of higher education accredited by one of the six regional accrediting bodies.
- They are college level
- They reflect a grade of C or better
* Two years of full time work experience
* An application and one letter of recommendation are required
* Recommended minimum age of 23
* Score of 550 or above on the TOEL exam if English is not the primary language.
